Ghouls, they're something else, especially when it comes to Tokyo ones; personally, I think the "tanks" win in this genre battle. As a guy, I find it much more interesting to dive into stories with anime girls in short skirts skillfully swinging their legs or wielding cold weapons. Not to mention the pointy-eared, tailed, and other various female characters who are equally attractive. However, all these stories of emotional suffering tied to demons residing within humans sometimes lead to despair. Yet, to be fair, it's worth noting that Ken Kaneki's story captivates, even for someone not particularly fond of dark fantasy manga. Credit must be given to both the plot and the protagonist.
